Duncan Aviation orders 40 Gogo Galileo HDX systems
Duncan Aviation has committed to a pre-paid order for 40 Gogo Galileo HDX systems. These units utilize electronically steered antenna (ESA) technology for inflight connectivity. This transaction represents Gogo’s largest order with a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider so far this year.
For cabin integrators, the shift toward ESA systems like the Galileo HDX signals a reduction in radome drag and external mechanical complexity compared to traditional gimbaled antennas. However, installing these systems will require MROs to navigate the specific thermal management and power draw requirements inherent to flat-panel arrays. This bulk pre-order suggests high confidence in the certification path and supply-chain availability for these low-profile units.
